Ian went into the game looking for a reaction from last weeks dissapointment. For the first 25 minutes the game could of swung either way, Darren made 2 outstanding saves while Baz went through 1 on 1 with their keeper who also made a brilliant save. Then came the turning point of the game, an unstoppable 25 yard screamer from the Astolat skipper. The goal seemed to knock the stuffing out of the Park who then struggled to string 2 passes together. 1-0 became 2-0 shortly after and the half time whistle couldnt come soon enough.
Apart from conceding a sloppy third goal, the Park improved in every way in the second half. Damo scored 2 cracking goals from the edge of the box. This resulted in Astolat showing signs of concern and they decided to pack the midfield. The Astolat keeper was called on to make a desperate save and Alex thought he'd secured a point in the last minute but his header came crashing back off the post. Ben Piette won man of the match after non stop all action display in midfield.
